Commenting over the statement of India's Home Minister Rajnath Singh wherein he has said that "they are working for permanent solution of Kashmir", Geelani said that it proves our claim that Kashmiris are being prosecuted and under well thought out plane New Delhi is carrying genocide in state.

The graph of civil killing in Jammu Kashmir is increasing with every passing day after the threatening statements issued by several senior Indian officials, said Geelani and added that forces feel free and unaccountable for carrying unabated killings of innocent people.

In his statement, Geelani blamed New Delhi and said that its armed forces have declared war on people in state and expressed his deep grief and dismay over the silence maintained by international community.

Meanwhile Tehreek-e-Huriyat deputation led by Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, Mohammad Rafique Owaisi, Sajjad Ahmed, Abdul Ahad and Zahoor Ahmad Beigh visited grieved family in Nagum Chadora, and attended the funeral prayer of leading slain commander Mohammad Yasin Yatoo and on behalf of Syed Ali Geelani and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai extended condolences message to his family.

Srinagar, August 14, 2017; Syed Ali Geelani today strongly condemned the shifting of, Pir Saif ullah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Raja Meraj u Din and Naeem Ahmed Khan to Tihar jail on judicial remand.

Geelani in his statement also criticized continuous detention of Shabir Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam and Farooq Ahmed Dar (Bita Karete) and said that state chief minister is facilitating all this just for her lust of chair.

She has waged a war on people in state, said Geelani and she is implicating resistance leadership in fabricated cases, he added.

Blaming Mehbooba Mufti for facilitating raids and implicating leadership in fabricated cases, statement said that authorities are using NIA sleuths as a war weapon to suppress leadership from raising genuine voices and are desperate to create graveyard silence, said Geelani.

The fake allegation, NIA raids and military might won’t dampen our spirits or cow down the aspirations of people, Geelani said and added that more they resort to these psychological tactics, more it will be resisted by people.
